Architects In the Making

Humberto Ramos graduated from the University of Texas, School of Architecture at Austin and has practiced as an Architect in New York, the United Kingdom, San Diego, California and Miami, Florida. He co-founded Ramos Martinez Architects in 2002 and has since worked on different types of projects throughout South Florida and the Caribbean. He participated on the founding of the Architects in the Making Summer Camp and continues to contribute to this valuable community organization. He is a registered architect in the states of New York and Florida and is a LEED AP.

Craig Aquart is a Managing Principal of MCHarry Associates, a 60 year-old Miami architectural firm that specializes in public sector projects. He has over 25 years of experience in the industry and is best known for his passion for the community and the profession. This is best demonstrated through his leadership and commitment to the Architects in the Making (AIM) Program where he mentors young students exploring architecture as a possible career. He realized that educating middle and high school students about architecture is vital to the industry’s development and he is especially determined to improve diversity and inclusivity in the profession. On observing the lack of African-American presence in the industry, he began the Black Architects in the Making (BAM) program in 2016.

Josiah creates renderings that inspire development. He is a registered architect in Florida and New Jersey, and he earned a Bachelor of Architecture from Syracuse University in 2017. He is also a passionate entrepreneur and educator. He is the owner and principal of a visualizations-focused architecture firm, and he serves as chair to the AIA, Architects In the Making program. Whether he is creating 3D representations of a building project or serving on a design jury, his AIM is to communicate the value of architectural education. Josiah has a growing portfolio of successfully delivered projects in Civic, Multifamily, Mixed-Use, Luxury Residential, and Hospitality.
